1. Fix the VA - we would have the VA provide medical coverage (CHAMPVA) while an "intent to file" is being processed to ensure veterans don't go without coverage for mental and physical issues as they await a decision. 2. Fix foster care - this one is layered but we would create true "Independent Living Programs" that will adequately prepare our youth for adulthood well before their 18th birthday. 3. Farm Bill - this one is layered but we can start by ensuring independent farmers are adequately subsidized so as not to take total losses on soybean and cotton.
